Shrove Tuesday

Breakfast for supper? Quite frankly it does not get any better than this. I love a good pancake on the best of days but when you have an excuse to dine on them for supper why not take the chance? So here is a classic Pancake recipe with some suggestions to make them extra special this magical of all Tuesdays!

Now in terms of making pancakes I either use the Wild Roots Ancient Grain GF pancake mix from Costco OR I make my own batter from scratch either way you go these additives will be sure to make them mouth watering:

Sweet Additives:

Chocolate Chips, Reese Peanut Butter Chips, White Chocolate Chips, Skor Toffee Bits (TIP: always be sure to check the brand you buying is Gluten-Free because no two chocolate chips are made the same)

Raspberries, Blueberries, Strawberries or Banana

Combine the sweets with the fruits for even more rich pancakes:
White Chocolate Chips with Blueberries
Reese Peanut Butter Chips with Bananas
Chocolate Chips with Bananas OR Strawberries

Also simply adding spices such as nutmeg, cinnamon, ginger (about a 1/4 tsp of each) will add some extra flavour to any pancake batter.
